One of our bulls that was measured a few weeks ago was Red 64. He will be used in a breeding project in Mokopane. He is an excellent example of horn mass. King Arthur sons consistently have basis with a minimum measurement of 14" , Red 64 measures 15 4/8" on his biggest base. More important is the fact that he measured 11" at 9 months, which makes his horn mass exceptional from tip to base. ... See MoreSee Less

Last week one of our cows got her left horn hooked in a tree. She broke the horn clean off. While we had her down, we had the first opportunity to measure her since the age of 8 months. She is now 5 years old and measures an exceptional 23 5/8" RW.

At Karibu we believe our GWB should have good horn mass. As such, we are proud of our breeding bull King Arthur – all his 2-year-old measure a minimum of 14" average bases. Below is a photo of one of our bulls at the age of 22 months. To us a sterling example of horn mass.

Our Kudu's are doing well.
With the addition of our 60+ genetics, we hope to breed back both horn size and mass into our kudu herd. Even our Kudu are curious to see how our 2 year old Golden WB will measure on Friday.

We are all looking forward to the measurements of our 2-year-old bull. We have just completed our latest photo measurements. 50% of our King Arthur sons have already measured over 29’’ RW and we are hoping to find at least two that are also over the 90” SCI.

We are proud to announce we will be measuring our two year old King Arthur sons on the 15th of February. Among the bulls that will be measured we expect some truly remarkable animals that are sure to measure over the 90”
